Black Belt of the Month - Jayden Green

Jayden Green is our black belt of the month for October 2023!


Jayden began training in Taekwondo at age 3 with the American Taekwondo Association (ATA) and joined WMA in 2018. He tested for his first degree black belt in June 2020 after training via Zoom during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic and became Student of the Year in 2021.

He is currently ten years old and has a 2nd Poom (degree) black belt. Jayden excels in all areas of leadership at World Martial Arts. He has competed in several sparring tournaments such as Spar Wars and the Kukkiwon Cup. He is an active member of the Demo Team, where he specializes in nunchucks and jumping kicks. He is currently Level 1 on our Leadership Team and is an expert at leading our very popular Tiny Tigers class.



Here are some of his responses to some of our interview questions:


What is your favorite TKD kick or form?

“My favorite kick is the roundhouse kick, because it is simple and cool.”


How has Taekwondo changed your life?

“Taekwondo taught me to show better discipline and apply the philosophies.”


Do you have any hobbies?

“I enjoy soccer, football, drawing, and playing video games.”



What are your aspirations for the future?

“My aspirations are to become a camp counselor, an instructor, and a master. I would also like to compete in sparring tournaments. My profession would be a software engineer.”
