LEVI CLARKE is our black belt of the month for April 2025!

Levi began Taekwondo when he was 7 years old at World Martial Arts. He took a break when he moved to DC, but then returned to WMA to resume at high red belt and earned his black belt in December 2024!! In addition, he also was voted the best black belt candidate in his cohort AND Most Outstanding student for 2024 - check out all that hardware in the photo above!

He is a part of our Leadership Team and helps with our Tiny Tigers class. He will be a camp counselor for the first time this year and we are looking forward to his continued growth in Leadership Team! His current interest is in improving his forms and training up to compete in Sport Poomsae. Check out his interview questions below!

So, what's your favorite kick or form?

Side kick and Koryo.

How has TKD changed your life?

Mostly mentally and physically. I was a troublemaker and I was getting in trouble in school mostly.

Thank you for your honesty, hahaha.

I'm not scared to be honest - it was a few years ago.

So you feel like it helped you with your focus?

Yes, and maturity.

Yes, and now you are a part of Leadership Team. Tell me more about that. It's fun to teach Tiny Tigers. They do some random things.

Tiny Tigers is a fun, but challenging class to teach. What do you think is the secret to teaching Tiny Tigers?

Doing it more often and watching more experienced leaders.

Besides Taekwondo, what other hobbies do you have?

I play a lot of video games. I really like Roblox. I used to play Fortnight, but not anymore because it got boring.

What are your future ambitions? Like any goals or future job you want to have?

I want to go to world competitions for poomsae. Not sure for future job. Random question time! If you had a magic box that could instantly make any food fresh at any time, what would that box make?

Sushi, definitely sushi.

Bonus, here are some photos of Levi's amazing pets:
